Business Development Manager

A results oriented and driven Business Development Manager is required to join this leading financial services company to manage a portfolio of partnership accounts with other financial institutions. To be considered for this position you will need to have either financial services experience particularly in the credit card arena or a proven background in managing corporate partnership accounts.

Location: Canary Wharf

Salary ?30,000 - ?45,000 plus LTA ?3550, uncapped bonus, private health care, 20% pension, commission, 30 days holiday, 4 x life assurance, share save options

Overall Job Purpose of the Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Manager you will be part of the team that is responsible for building partnerships with other financial institutions to expand the geographic reach of solutions and to generate inward business that takes advantage of European capabilities. You will work closely with the Financial Institutions team to build strategic relationships with other banks. You will also be the lead person working with the product, operations and change management teams to deliver the solutions necessary to support our FI partnership programmes.

Key Accountabilities of the Business Development Manager

Work with Product, Operations, Marketing, Sales and all other relevant functions to ensure FI propositions are delivered and fully supported Ownership of transformation projects for the FI segment, managing end-to-end delivery of capabilities Provide bespoke solutions to meet the needs of the FI customers either on an individual basis or with colleagues where a package of solutions is required Assess effectiveness of specific transformation proposals in terms of their likely effectiveness and commercial viability. Develop clear goals, deliverables and business cases to be owned and delivered by each initiative Relationship Management - 30% Commercial Management - 20% Business Development - 10% Strategy & Planning - 10%

Person Specification for the Business Development Manager

Ability to work effectively across range of functional teams to achieve integrated plans Track record in building and maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships Good communications (written and oral), both internally but also in representing the business externally to current partners and future prospects Deep knowledge of commercial payments solutions as well as industry and competitor offerings Results oriented and driven to support the achievement of delivery of turnover, revenue, cost and KPI targets for the FI segment Degree educated or similar level experience Experience in developing market strategy and/or marketing plans Understanding of Microsoft Software products - Word, Excel and PowerPoint
